According to a report from Etimes Shahid said, how can one judge a film like 'Kantara', man? It was not a spectacle when it was released. It is undoubtedly entertaining to watch, but the audience is ultimately responsible for the success of the movie.
The reports also quoted Shahid saying, that it's more about how cinematic experience a film could provide. He also agrees that there is a clear demarcation between different content pieces but he doesnt see this as a change in trend. He also said that he feels that multiple things have happened in the last three years and the differentiation is what he want to watch at home and what he is willing to watch in the theatres.
Further sharing his observation and insights, he also talked about, one thing that he has observed in the audience is that they are not willing to pay their hard-earned money for mediocre content. Unless the content is good, it has a certain scale, it has a certain entertainment quotient, it won't work. The audience wants to watch good content and that they are willing to walk into the theatres but the makers have to bring their A-game to the table.
