Shahid Kapoor reveals how he never gets angry on the house help like Kabir Singh

Shahid Kapoor, who is busy promoting his upcoming movie Kabir Singh, recently made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show alongside his co-star Kiara Advani. During the interview, Shahid was asked if he ever lost his cool on the domestic help in real life like Kabir. 

According to Mumbai Mirror reports, Shahid revealed that after his wedding, his wife, Mira Rajput brought along many house help. The actor further added saying that even if he breaks a glass by mistake; he would apologize to the help and offer to clean up the mess.  

In the trailer, a hot-headed Kabir Singh chases after his maid in the streets after she breaks a glass unintentionally, has inspired several memes. As soon as the trailer was released, many fans took to their social media handles and trolled the said scene.

In his previous interviews with Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor talked about how Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh not the same person but can be considered as cousins. Shahid said, “Vijay Deverakonda was spectacular in the film. If you ask me, Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy are cousins; they are not the same person. 

"We have tried to do something different because it's important to rediscover the journey of the character. We shifted the milieu to Delhi and Mumbai; so, by extension, his family and upbringing have changed. But, we have retained the fundamental energy of the character.”

The actor has also spoken about channeling a dark side of his psyche for the film, in which he plays a self-destructive alcoholic. In the past, Shahid has said that he would take long showers before returning home; to wash away the smell of the 20-odd cigarettes he was smoking on set. Shahid, on Kapil’s show, said that another reason for those long showers was to metaphorically ‘cleanse himself of all the anger and angst’ he was carrying on set.

Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. Also directed by Sandeep Vanga, Kabir Singh is slated for release on June 21.
