Mumbai, Sep 4 (IANS) Director Satish Kaushik, who was supposed to join the team of 'Dhoom Dhadaka' in Bangkok this week, had to postpone the trip because of his nephew's death.

Kaushik's 33-year-old nephew Dharmendra died Friday morning. Kaushik had lost his son some years ago.

'And now this! I don't know why these things keep happening in our family. I don't know when I'll be able to go to Bangkok. For now they'll have to manage without me. So many good things were happening to me professionally. It has all stalled for now,' Kaushik told IANS.

Kaushik, who has earlier directed films like 'Tere Naam' and 'Shaadi Se Pehle', is directing the comedy, which is being produced by Shashi Ranjan. It stars Anupam Kher, Satish Shah, Deepshikha, Shaad Ali, Shama Sikandar and Sammir Dattani.

Kaushik is also remaking Subhash Ghai's 'Karz' but the film hasn't gone beyond casting Himesh Reshammiya.

On a brighter note Kaushik's big international film, Sarah Gavron's 'Brick Lane', based on Monica Ali's novel about a Bangladeshi couple in London, is being given a big release by Sony Pictures.

'I'll be going to the Toronto Film Festival with 'Brick Lane'. It is by far the most important film I've done so far,' said Kaushik.
