Sara Ali Khan to feature in a patriotic film based on the 1942 Quit India Movement

Sara Ali Khan has only been in five films, but she already has a promising slate for 2022. Following Atrangi Re, the actress has signed on two more films. She is filming for these projects at the same time. Now, as per the latest reports, Sara Ali Khan is getting ready to travel back to India's history. The actress will soon be starring in a movie premised on the 1942 Quit India movement.

While the development's pivotal character specifics are being kept under wraps, we do know that Sara will be the project's lead, which will be helmed by Ek Thi Dayan's Kanan Iyer.

The patriotic film, on the other hand, will not be released in theatres. According to reports, the movie is being produced for the streaming service Amazon Prime Video and is being supported by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment.

Sara, on the other hand, will be making her third signing,  having previously joined Laxman Utekar's next. She will appear in the film alongside Vicky Kaushal, and the two have already filmed for the project. 

The first schedule was shot in Indore and leaked pictures and videos from the sets of the film created a stir on social media. 

Meanwhile, another project vying for Sara's attention is Gaslight, a collaboration with Vikrant Massey. Vikrant and Sara were in Gujarat just a few months ago, where they began filming. Both of them were also seen visiting a temple in Gujarat and gave fans a glimpse of it on social media.
