Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan to Share the Screen in Anurag Basu's Upcoming Romantic Drama

Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan might share the screen once again! After the indefinite delay of Aashiqui 3 and Triptii Dimri’s exit, Anurag Basu is reportedly developing a new romantic film featuring Kartik as the lead. Fans of the duo, who were last seen in Love Aaj Kal, are already excited about their possible reunion.

As per reports, Sara Ali Khan is being considered for the female lead in this project. Sara and Kartik’s chemistry in Love Aaj Kal not only garnered attention but also sparked real-life romance rumors back in 2020. If finalized, this will mark their second on-screen collaboration, bringing back memories of their charming pairing.

Interestingly, Sara is not the first choice for this role. The makers are reportedly keen on casting Imanvi, a rising social media sensation. Imanvi is set to debut in a period film opposite Prabhas, co-produced by Bhushan Kumar. However, sources reveal that Imanvi is hesitant to commit to another project before her debut releases. Bhushan Kumar is in talks with the producers of her debut film to secure her for Anurag Basu’s romantic drama.

Anurag Basu recently worked with Sara in Metro In Dino and is impressed with her work. If discussions with Imanvi don’t progress, Sara will be the next choice

Meanwhile, Sara is gearing up for her upcoming release Sky Force, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, which is slated to hit the screens on 24th January 2025. Kartik has also signed a romantic comedy, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, under Dharma Productions, set for a 2026 release. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if this much-anticipated reunion of Sara and Kartik will reignite the magic of their previous on-screen pairing!
