In his biography, "Khullam- Khulla", Rishi Kapoor has narrated the incident where he and Sanjay Dutt had indulged in a 'fist fight' over an affair and it also included Gulshan Grover.

Recalling the incident, Gulshan says, "It's true, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) had an affair with Tina Munim (Tina Ambani) at that time and thought that Chintu (Rishi Kapoor) (who was unmarried then) was having one with her, too. Sanjay and I were like brothers so one day he told me, 'We have to go to Chintu's house to beat him up. We went to do that but his fiancee Neetuji managed to convince us that Chintu was not having an affair so we left."

He further adds: "Though we are in touch, it's not the same anymore. I adore Chintu and keep meeting him. But with Sanju the problem is I would keep giving him correct advice and he does not like that so he creates situations where he can avoid those very people who give him good advice (laughs). The irony of it is that today Chintu's son Ranbir is playing the very Sanjay Dutt, who had wanted to beat his father one day, and Sanju loves Ranbir too!"
