Actor Sanjay Dutt has been an absolute fighter not just on-screen he embodies the role of the fascinating Adheera in KGF: Chapter 2 but also while battling cancer in his real life.

As he gears up for the release of the film, Dutt opened up about his experience shooting for the film while battling cancer. Speaking about his lung cancer diagnosis in 2020, he said that the team was very 'accommodating'. After undergoing extensive treatment, the actor resumed work and was happy that the makers "did everything they could to make me comfortable," he told Mid-Day.

He went on to reveal, "They suggested we shoot it against a green screen. But as an actor, shooting this film correctly was important to me. We had a grand vision for it. The climax had to be mounted on a large scale. It was a difficult climax — there was mud, dust, fire and a lot of action. I couldn’t have done that shoot without their help."

Speaking about playing a heartless antagonist named Adheera, Dutt said, "He is menacing, but at the same time, humane [to some]. A lot of how Adheera has shaped up is from the energy that Yash and I brought to each scene. What a talent he is!"

He also stated that he has bounced back with renewed energy after his battle with cancer and gives due gredit to his fans saying, "I got by, thanks to my fans’ prayers."
