Sanam Teri Kasam actress Mawra Hocane BREAKS SILENCE about her return for the sequel

Sanam Teri Kasam has been making waves at the box office during its re-release, captivating audiences once again with its heartfelt story and memorable performances. Fans are flocking to theaters, drawn by nostalgia and the film's emotional depth.

In a recent interview, actress Mawra Hocane, who portrayed Saru in Sanam Teri Kasam, addressed the possibility of returning for the sequel alongside Harshvardhan Rane. She stated, "If it’s possible for me to be a part of it, I’d love to, but even if it isn’t, there’s no hard feelings."

During her candid chat with Connect Cine, Mawra expressed her enthusiasm for being part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 but emphasized that she would be content even if someone else took on her role. She highlighted the hard work of her producers, noting that they truly deserve all the love and recognition as the film continues to perform impressively at the box office.

Mawra specifically praised producer Deepak Mukut, asserting that he deserves the success more than anyone else. She conveyed her best wishes to him and expressed hope that the sequel would achieve even greater heights, regardless of her participation. While she would love to be involved if possible, she reassured fans that there would be no hard feelings if it didn’t come to fruition.

Recently, in an exclusive interview with India Forums, filmmakers Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru disclosed that Sanam Teri Kasam was originally conceived as a two-part narrative while they were writing the first film. They mentioned that the sequel is already in the works, complete with a clear vision for Inder’s (Harshvardhan Rane) journey ahead.

The filmmakers explained that the ending of the first film, where Inder walks toward the tree as Saru’s (Mawra Hocane) voice resonates with her dialogues, was intentionally designed to set up the sequel.

They revealed that the script for Sanam Teri Kasam 2 has been finalized for a while and, after the positive response to the film's re-release on Valentine’s Day, they are now eager to present the sequel to audiences by Valentine’s Day 2026.

Additionally, they noted that most of the songs for the sequel are nearly finished and reassured fans that Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is making good progress.
