Sana Sayyad and Shagun Sharma in consideration to play the lead in ‘Sasural Genda Phool 2’ opposite Jay Soni?

India Forums exclusively reported that the makers are getting the second season of popular show ‘Sasural Genda Phool’ and they’ve retained actor Jay Soni in the show.

The first season of the show was bankrolled by Ravi Ojha Productions and has actors like Sudhir Pandey, Anita Kanwal, Sulbha Arya, Ragini Khanna, Jay Soni, Riddhima Tiwari, Shruti Ulfat, Supriya Pilgaonkar among others as the primary cast. The show was loved by the viewers.

The show gave immense popularity to Ragini Khanna and Jay Soni. They were loved as a couple. Also, the entire family of the show received adulation from the viewers.

Buzz is that ‘Sasural Genda Phool 2’ will air on Star Bharat.

While Jay Soni has been retained in the show, the search for the female lead is on for quite sometime now. According to our sources, two actresses who have given the mock shoot for the project are Divya Drishti fame Sana Sayyad and ‘Isq Par Zor Nahi’ actress Shagun Sharma’.

A source close to the project revealed, “While Sana and Shagun have done the mock shoot, it’s to early to say who will bag the show. Chances are that the makers and channel would want more options other than these two”.
