Salman's presence at 2.0 event, a PLANNED strategy?

Bhaijaan Salman Khan had surprised everyone with his presence at the launch of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's upcoming film 2.0. The event that took place in Mumbai last sunday was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar where 2.0's cast Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar had come together for the film launch followed by media interaction.

All the presentees were left amazed to have Salman on stage. However, as per reports in media Salman's visit at the event might have been the result of a planned move from the makers of the film. A report in a leading daily quoted a source saying that, "In Bollywood, gatecrashing is reserved for wannabes. Superstars need to be invited. Period. Salman Khan's arrival at the strategic time just before the Q and A session was a planned one. The call time for media was 4 pm. The launch was supposed to start at five and all lead actors including Akshay and Rajinikanth were already in before 5 pm. No Akshay event starts late and everyone wondered what the hold up was for. It was because Salman was coming to YRF studios all the way from Bandra along with his retinue. The event finally kickstarted at 5.45 pm." (sic)

It's also been said that it was Akshay and not Amy who had invited the Dabanng actor. "Contrary to popular speculation, it was Akshay and not Amy who invited Salman. Akshay and Salman go back a long way and both have deep admiration for each other. Salman even posted a video to promote Akshay's Rustom. That speaks volumes about their friendship. When Akshay asked Salman if he could be present for the launch, the latter immediately agreed because he has deep respect for both Akshay and Rajinikanth. Salman agreed but on the condition that he would walk in later so that he doesn't grab the spotlight,", the source added further. (sic)

No doubt, Salman's sudden entry added a grace to the event making it a grand affair.
