Salman Khan's paintings to be on display for the first time in a solo exhibition

Salman Khan, the Bollywood superstar, is preparing to present his work in a first-ever solo show titled 'Motherhood - An Artistic Ode to Mother Teresa.' Sandeep and Gitanjali Maini Foundation; and AGP World, in collaboration with Being Human - The Salman Khan Foundation, gallery g, and Artiere Gallery, are hosting the exhibition.

From March 11 to 20, three paintings, including two new large-scale works by the artist, will be on display at Bengaluru's gallery g. On March 4, Salman's artwork will be available for viewing online for the first time. On the GAC digital platform, two of his paintings, named 'Still In Hope of Compassion' and 'Begging for Peace,' will be on exhibit.

Salman describes his new works that will be on display:

Still In Hope of Compassion: "There are wars. There is loss. There are pandemics to deal with. But there is also HOPE. And Mother Teresa tells us no matter what the odds, HOPE will always win."

Begging for Peace: "Peace is not just an absence of conflict. Peace is the humility of two folded hands. The acknowledgment of our humanity. And the purpose of our life."

The Antim actor is a huge fan of Mother Teresa, and appears to have committed a significant portion of his artistic talent to her and the humanitarian work she has done.

Salman uses canvas, acrylic, and oil paintings, as well as charcoal and ink, as his primary mediums. The majority of his paintings are huge, averaging five feet or more in height, and painted on canvas or wood. He has also been known to adorn and enrich his paintings using accessories such as chains, wood chips, plastic debris, and other materials.

Still in Hope of Compassion is a series of paintings created by the artist using paint straight from the tube.

On the work front, Bhaijaan shared a teaser of his upcoming film Tiger 3 which is all set to release on 2023 Eid.
