Salman Khan to debut in a Marathi film

Salman Khan is all set to make a debut in a Marathi Film with the National Award Winning Director, Nishikant Kamat.

Salman Khan is all set to make his debut in a Marathi Film. The film will be directed by the National Award winner Nishikant Kamat. Riteish Deshmukh would be seen in the film as well, who turned a producer with his Marathi Film Balak Palak earlier this year. The film is titled Lai Bhaari and is reportedly scheduled to release in December this year.

Sources have revealed that Salman will be seen as a typical Maharasthrian. Since he will be doing a special appearance and came on board on a very short notice, everyone has been working overtime to put his look together.

"Quality of content is the key. Social networking sites have helped a lot in creating a buzz around Marathi films. However, even I am surprised at the sudden surge of interest for regional films which have got cash boxes ringing at the boxoffice", said Kamat.

Salman Khan has broken all box office records with releases like Dabangg, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard. Lets see what happens in his Marathi venture.
