Salman Khan is known for his straightforwardness and tendency to speak his mind, particularly during his infrequent public appearances. At a recent Filmfare launch event, he was asked about the new generation of actors in Bollywood, and he didn't hesitate to criticize their fee hikes.

While acknowledging that they are hardworking and focused, he also talked about his peers - Shah Rukh, Aamir, Akki, and Ajay - would not give up their positions easily and would give the newcomers a run for their money. Salman added that their films still perform well at the box office, which is why they can afford to increase their fees, whereas the new generation often hike their fees even when their films aren't successful.

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor also commented on the recent spate of box office failures, opining that today's filmmakers have a different understanding of India than he does. In his experience, many of the filmmakers he's met are too cool and create content that appeals to a narrow, urban audience, whereas Hindustan is much more diverse and encompasses a wider range of audiences that start from the east of the railway stations.

Commenting on recent box office failures, Salman opined, that today filmmakers have a different understanding of India. And they feel it’s from Andheri to Colaba. The filmmakers that he has met and interacted; they are too cool. And hence they make that kind of content. However, Hindustan is way different.

Talking about the workfront the actor will next be seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and also the most awaited Tiger 3.
