Salman is Rajkumar Santoshi's lucky mascot?

After "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani", director Rajkumar Santoshi has once again roped in superstar Salman Khan for a cameo in his forthcoming film "Phata Poster Nikla Hero". He says it's a mere co-incidence and not because he considers the actor his lucky mascot.

"I don't think like that. It was more a need of the script," Santoshi said here Friday at a press meet of the film.

"In that film ('Ajab...'), Katrina (Kaif) was a big fan of Salman and an incident happens where Salman comes in front of her. In this film, Shahid has been shown as a big fan of film stars, particularly Salman, one of the most happening stars today.

"So it is just a co-incidence, not because of the lucky mascot thing," he added.

However, Santoshi says if "Phata Poster Nikla Hero" works, then he will definitely start calling Salman his lucky mascot.

"I wish it happens, success repeats itself. Then third time I will definitely go to Salman saying that you are lucky for me, come in my film and do a scene," he said.

"Phata Poster Nikhla Hero" stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead besides Ileana D'Cruz. The film hits theatres Aug 23.
