2009 seems to be the for the Indian music industry. After A.R. Rahman winning various awards all around the globe, it's time for another musician, musician pair actually, to go global.

Salim Sulaiman, the musical pair who have given the magical music of Fashion, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi etc., are nominated in the Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Original Song Children's And Animation category.

The nomination is for the track "We Like Being Small" for a Nickelodeon USA's popular TV show, Wonder Pets. The Merchant brothers created the complete score for the episode called "Save the Bengal Tiger".

When asked how they got the opportunity, they tell us that since the episode was on saving the Bengal Tiger, "the series' director wanted an Indian composer. They contacted us through our agent in America and that is how we got the project."

First disbelief and then ecstatic with the news, the euphonious brothers will be wearing tuxedos on the awards night which will be held in The Historic Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, US, on the 30th of August, this year.

The Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards has been honoring excellence in all fields of daytime Broadcast production for 36 years. The Emmy is awarded in 68 categories, including acknowledgements for series, performers and all other technical and creative areas.
