Saif Ali Khan REVEALS why he doesn’t want to keep a Gun post knife attack

Post suffering a knife attack ok January 16, 2025, Saif Ali Khan is slowly recovering. The Bollywood star was attacked by an intruder who entered through his youngest son Jeh's room in the early hours of that unfortunate day. The actor went to the hospital on his own, with his son Taimur by his side.

In a recent interview, Saif Ali Khan discussed the incident and whether he would consider keeping a gun at home. He shared his thoughts with Delhi Times,“I used to have a gun also. Luckily, I don’t have that. I don’t know what would have happened."

I didn’t believe in that anymore. I thought some kid will get hold of it, and then there’ll be other problems.I mean there are guns around at Pataudi. All the people who have guns – Rajwaras and the Rajasthanis – have been messaging me that they can’t believe that guy got away with it. My father used to sleep with a shotgun by his bed. But sometimes, I believe accidents happen because there was a gun. Young kids would definitely play with it or God knows what can happen

He further claimed that he has no weapons kept at the house. “There are some talvars which are ceremonial and decorative. Some people are now like, you should have protection with you at all times. The world is not safe. Sleep with a gun," he said.

When asked again if he would still want to keep a gun, Saif Ali Khan responded, “I don’t think so. Nothing will change. See, if you start doing that… because I don’t feel I’m under threat. It was not a premeditated attack. I think it just was a burglary attempt gone wrong. That poor guy, his life is more screwed than mine."

According to media reports, doctors removed a 2.5-inch knife from his wound. The actor was stabbed multiple times while trying to fend off the attacker, sustaining six stab wounds, two of which were considered serious due to their proximity to his spine.

Saif was abruptly awakened by loud noises coming from his son Jeh’s room. When he rushed in, he discovered an intruder engaged in a heated argument with the household staff. Without hesitation, Saif intervened, confronting the trespasser with his bare hands to protect his staff.
