SaharaOne unveils Main Aisi Kyun Hoon

After tasting success with a slew of soaps like Ghar Ek Sapna, Doli Saja Ke, Zaara and Solah Singaarr, SaharaOne Television has announced the launch of yet another new show titled Main Aisi Kyun Hoon. The new serial is produced by actor Paresh Rawal’s Playtime creations and will be aired from 8th October at 8.30 pm, Monday to Thursday.

The new show is the story of a middle class girl with hyperactive imagination who stands against the conservative setup and lives life on her own terms. Even when she loses her childhood, her die hard romanticism never takes a dent.

The star cast of the show looks pretty fresh and includes names like Khalid Siddique, who makes his debut on the small screen, Nazneen Patel and Anokhi Srivastava. While Khalid plays the male lead Siddharth, Nazneen plays the central character of Sanjana and Anokhi plays Anuradha in the show.

Speaking about the launch of the new show, Kalyan Sundaram, Programming Head, SaharaOne said, “Through this show we want to capture the imagination of the audiences who are the interface of the urban and conservative mindsets. I will call this show progressive since we look at the world from a woman’s perspective and I am hopeful that this theme would further strengthen our brand of producing top quality shows.”

In his comments about the new production, Paresh Rawal, who already has a show on air for Zee (Teen Bahuraniyan), added, “Though this show has comedy at its heart but it’s not forced on any character. I am hopeful that the sensibilities portrayed in the show will appeal to a large cross section of the audiences.”

What needs to be seen is how the new show will manage the prime time slot on the channel. Will it be a TRP garner or a damp squib, the verdict is a few weeks away. Till then, happy viewing.
