Rupali Ganguly quitting Anupamaa only a PUBLICITY STUNT, actress very much a part of show?

Last evening, the news of Rupali Ganguly calling it quits from Rajan Shahi's Anupamaa broke the internet. The actress who is recognised for her character Anupamaa globally has given the show new heights. However, with the show taking a generation leap and new characters being introduced, Anupamaa has been struggling to maintain its numero uno stand on the TRP charts and has seen only dipping numbers.

Well, India Forums has exclusively learnt of some inside scoop about Rupali's track coming to an end in the show. According to a well placed source, the actress is not quitting the show. The source says, ''Rupali is not quitting the show and is not going anywhere. The rumours are just publicity stunt done to create a hype around the show since the ratings of the show have been dipping for quite some time now.''

For the uninformed, Anupamaa took a generation leap some time ago, post which, the current cast of the show called it quits and an entirely new cast was introduced. While Alisha Parveen and Shivam Khajuria were introduced as the new titular faces of the show, the former was later replaced abruptly, giving rise to many speculations.

Speaking about the same to India Forums exclusively, Alisha had opened up about her replacement from the show and had said, ''Rajan sir only said that we are replacing you. He just gave me the reason that there is a problem in your performance. I do not know ke performance ka reason kyun? Kyun ke, mere directors ne hamesha meri bahut taarif kari hai.''

As for Rupali quitting the show, we still await official confirmation on the same.
