After Marjaavan, Riteish Deshmukh is gearing up for his next project, Baaghi 3. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the high octane action film stars Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor and Ankita Lokhande.
During the recent promotions of Baaghi 3, Riteish shared quite an interesting detail about his 2014 Marathi film Lai Bhaari.
When asked if he would like to remake his film Lai Bhaari in Hindi, he revealed that the story is written by Sajid Nadiadwala, and the filmmaker had earlier thought of making the film not in Marathi, but Hindi, and had also zeroed in actors like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar for the project.
"The story is written by Sajid Nadiadwala and initially he wanted to make the film in Hindi, either with Salman Khan or Akshay Kumar. But then later he made it into Marathi, so the Hindi rights are with him and whenever he wishes to remake it, he will" shared Riteish.
Meanwhile, speaking of Riteish's character in Baaghi 3, he plays brother to Tiger Shroff in the film. While it is a spiritual sequel to Baaghi (2016) and Baaghi 2 (2018), the third installment also comprises of family drama along with the larger than life action in the film.
Baaghi 3 releases on on 6 March 2020.
