Veteran actress Reema Lagoo passed away due to cardiac arrest this morning. She was 59 years old.

The actress complained of chest pain last night (Wednesday) and was immediately rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital. However, she left for heavenly abode this morning. She was declared dead at 3:15 a.m.

The actress had worked in films as well as TV. She was popularly known for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Hum Saath-Saath Hain and Vaastav.

The actress also gained fame through TV serials such as Shriman Shrimati, Tu Tu Main Main and was currently a part of Mahesh Bhatt's show Naamkarann on Star Plus, where she was essaying the role of the main antagonist Dayavanti Mehta.
