The actress after the screening of Chandu Champion posted an Insta story where it looked like she was calling out an ex-agent. She said that he was managing her when she was starting out. The lady wrote on her Instagram, “He looked more pregnant than me...like an artery might burst if he walked even a bit more, was completely grey with stunning alopecia patches, badly dressed, with no taste, looked like patches of luxury logos had been force-stapled on him by his mom. But it's not about his beauty LOL. He looked uncomfortable where he stood. Like a loser."

Netizens unimpressed with body-shaming on Instagram

Richa Chadha is known for her liberal views on social media. The actress is getting rave reviews for her work in Heeramandi. While some felt she was venting out her anger, others found the body-shaming part a bit crass. A netizen wrote on Reddit, “Am I the only one who finds it distasteful. I agree she must have been wronged. But what she has written is classist, body-shaming, and is looking down upon. There could’ve been a graceful way. Not saying I would have done it otherwise — but with famous people, you expect ideal ways to deal with things.”

But many sided with her. They felt this was coming from the hurt of being body-shamed and exploited because you are an outsider. A person commented, “Men who steal money from naive outsider struggling actors and try to manipulate them into sex work forfeit all rights to be treated with respect.
