With more and more web series coming to foray, it gets difficult to choose which one to actually go ahead and binge-watch in one go. And if you're in the mood to watch a romantic-thriller lately, Tandoor on Ullu App might just be your answer.

Starring Tanuj Virwani aka Sahil and Rashami Desai aka Palak in lead roles, the show is about a mystery surrounding a dead body being burned into ashes in a tandoor (clay oven). Whose dead body is it? Who has killed that person? All such questions are thrown into the viewer's mind right away from frame one, episode one.

Gradually, what develops is an unlikely love story between Sahil and Palak, where the former is a youth political leader with a supremacy in his area and the latter is a sweet and innocent girl who he falls in love with.

The title Tandoor is a metaphor which is spelt out by the protagonist in the finale and it makes sense in its intention. While the mystery isn't much of a surprise and in fact ends in a  rather underwhelming way, there are several good things about the show.

The background score building up the tension in scenes of suspense and wonder is spot-on and the two romantic numbers used for the love story montages are also pretty good. However, the best thing about Tandoor has to be the choice of the cast.

Virwani is perfectly cast as Sahil, a headstrong, drunkard youth political leader who doesn't quite listen to anyone and manages to be hated but also be pitied in a few instances. On the other hand, Desai as Palak is also a great casting choice where she manages to exhibit the chirpiness of the character well along with her obvious beauty and does have a different shade to portray ahead in the show as well.

Tandoor does have ample faults along with a predictable climax but it is still very much binge-worthy especially because of its runtime. Clocking an average of just 20 minutes each episode, there are 5 episodes which means it is even less than an average feature film length.

Tandoor can be seen on Ullu App and indeed, it might be a good dose of mystery and suspense to view and enjoy.
