Remo D’Souza Hints at ABCD 3 and a New Romantic Film with Dance, Emotion, and Fresh Faces

Choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza is once again grabbing headlines, and this time, it’s not just for his dance skills. If the buzz is to be believed, Remo is all set to bring back the magic of the ABCD franchise with a third installment. At the same time, he’s also exploring a completely different side of cinema with a romantic drama. While nothing has been officially announced yet, reports have already stirred curiosity among movie lovers.

According to a report by India Today, ABCD 3 is currently in early development. A source told the portal, “Filmmaker suggest that the new installment is in the early development stage, with a fresh storyline, and powerful choreography. It will feature a fresh take while retaining the heart and energy that made the previous films such crowd-pullers.” This means fans can expect energetic dance performances, emotional moments, and maybe even some familiar faces returning to the screen, alongside new-age talent.

Remo had last directed Street Dancer 3D in 2020. That film starred Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva, and Raghav Juyal, and revolved around a fierce international dance battle. The film impressed many with its visuals and choreography, though some felt the story could have been tighter. Despite mixed reviews, it remained popular among the youth for its dance-heavy sequences.

While dance is something Remo is best known for, he is now also working on a romantic drama—something quite new for him as a director. A source close to the project revealed, “This film will have emotion, melody, and of course, a bit of dance—but in a very different way." The hint suggests a more heartfelt narrative with music and relationships taking center stage.

Remo’s most recent film, Be Happy, was an emotional story of a father and daughter. Speaking about the project, Remo said, “For Lizelle and me, Be Happy is a true passion project—a deeply moving story that celebrates the special bond between a father and daughter through the magic of music and dance.”

With these two very different films on the horizon, Remo D’Souza seems ready to expand his creative boundaries and surprise fans all over again.
