It's an assumption that if you are a star kid, you will also taking up acting as a career. If you do, the pressure is immense. You have to live up to the expectations of the industry and have to surpass the standards set by your own kins. It's a hard world and comparisons are made at every single step. The reality is the same for Janhvi Kapoor who will be making her Bollywood debut on July 20th.

Talking about her decision to work in the film industry, Janhvi made some serious revelations. In an interview with DNA, Janhvi said that her mother was not very pleased with her decision to be an actress. She asked her to give it a second thought and reconsider it.

"She always felt that I am too naive. Mom and dad are very protective of me. They didn't think I was equipped to deal with the non-creative aspect of filmmaking. Mom wasn't too happy. She felt she had worked so hard to give her children an easy life. But I didn't want that, I wanted a fulfilling one. I aspired to have that creative expression, that experience in real life with the struggles. I am very thankful for everything I have, but I am hungry to experience more than whatever has been given to me," DNA quoted Janhvi.

Janhvi was also asked if she wanted to be an actress from the very beginning. Janhvi said,"When I was a kid, I used to make up stories in my head and play characters. I loved entertaining people. I remember, in school, I would be animated and crack jokes. Also, movies have had a huge influence on my life. I've always been passionate about cinema. However, I wanted to explore other avenues like writing and study history. I thought I'd do all these courses, but when I started with an acting course, I realised this was my calling,"

With her movie set to release in a few days, it is only natural that she recollects her memories with her mother. making the right career choice is important and it's the role of a parent to guide their child to the best of their abilities. Her mother will be proud with the work and dedication Janhvi is putting in. She will be seen opposite Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak. It's a remake of a Marathi film, Sairat and is hitting your theaters soon.
