REAL to go on air from March 2

REAL, the brand new Hindi entertainment channel by Real Global Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd. (RGB), has announced going on air from Monday, March 2nd. The channel can be down linked from IntelSat-10, 68.5 Degree East, and will be a digitally encrypted pay channel. Being a 50:50 joint venture between Alva Brothers Entertainment and Turner International, it will be a part of the Zee Turner bouquet and will be available across the country on cable systems and digital platforms.

Says Sunil Lulla, Director, Real Global Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd., "REAL will start with daily three hours of original programming with a dynamic blend of fiction and reality shows." He further added, "REAL is a smart, fresh and distinctive Hindi entertainment channel for the Neo-Indian who is the urban oriented, outward looking and progressive Indian seeking an alternative, which is not the current stereotypical. Our shows are a vivid testimony of the distinctive offering we have for the Indian viewer."

In tune with its proposition of a distinctive offering that will appeal to the Indian viewer, REAL recently showcased three of its key shows -

o        Poker Face, the internationally successful quiz-game show where One Indian surely takes away Rupees 1 Crore in just 7 Days. It will be aired Mon to Sunday at 8 p.m.

o        Vicky Ki Taxi, a weekly drama where unusual stories unfold in the unique setting of a taxi, with the driver Vicky playing the role of a reluctant messiah. To be aired every Friday, 9 p.m.

o        Hindi Hai Hum, a compelling drama that brings to the forefront the underlying spirit of unity amongst India's youth. It will be aired Monday to Thursday at 9 p.m.
