Ravi Mohan’s lawyer warns Aarti Ravi of contempt action if defamatory posts remain online

Ravi Mohan’s legal team has issued a public notice following a recent High Court order directing the removal of defamatory posts targeting the actor on social media. Despite this, Aarti Ravi, his estranged wife, has yet to comply with the directive.

The couple’s ongoing divorce has been under intense media scrutiny. Alongside personal matters, legal battles have also surfaced, with Ravi Mohan’s team taking firm steps to protect his reputation.

According to the public notice, a civil suit has been filed against Aarti Ravi and her mother, Sujatha Vijayakumar. The lawsuit alleges that both have caused significant damage to Ravi’s public image through false statements made publicly. The notice explicitly demands the removal of all defamatory content from platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and other internet sites.

Ravi Mohan’s lawyer, Karthikei Balan, shared the notice with a clear warning: “From the desk of Legal Team – Actor Mohan Ravi based on the orders of High Court to remove all defamatory posts about the Actor across all online media, social media and internet platforms. Failure to obey the same will attract initiation of contempt proceedings…”

This legal notice comes amid the continuing divorce proceedings between Ravi and Aarti. The actor was recently seen in public with Kenishaa Francis, who is reportedly his alleged partner. Following this appearance, Aarti made allegations against Ravi in a public statement, to which he responded, resulting in a series of back-and-forth comments. Sujatha Vijayakumar also issued her own statement amid the controversy.

However, Ravi Mohan and Sujatha have since deleted all their statements from social media. Aarti, however, has not yet removed her posts, despite the court order and legal notice.

Last year, Ravi announced their separation on X, which Aarti later claimed was done without her knowledge. She has requested that people refrain from calling her his ex-wife until the legal proceedings are complete. “This is not a fight. This is a mother stepping into fire to protect,” her statement read. Ravi Mohan, who recently dropped the name 'Jayam', said the change reflects his personal and professional growth.

On the professional front, Ravi Mohan continues to work on several upcoming projects, including films like Karathey Babu, Parasakthi, and Genie. The legal dispute and personal controversies, however, have kept him in the spotlight for reasons beyond his acting career.
