Raunak bags lead role in Chauda Phere

Raunak Ahuja has bagged one of the two male lead roles in Zee TV and Ratna Sinha's show tentatively titled Chauda Phere.

Tellybuzz had already reported that Akshay Anand and Ravi Gosain have been finalized to play father figures in the show. Also Ankita Srivastava and Amber Dhara fame Sulagna Panigrahi have been rounded in to play the female leads.

According to our source, "Raunak Ahuja has been finalized to play one of the two male leads in Chauda Phere. The hunt for the second male lead is on."

In Mitwa Raunak Ahuja portrays the role of Tejas who is Bela's brother. He earlier played brother- in -law of Jyoti in NDTV Imagine's Jyoti by the character name of Suman. He was also finalized to play the lead role in Sahara One's Pankh Hoti to Ud Jati Main which unfortunately got scrapped.

We tried calling Raunak Ahuja but he refused to comment.

We also called Ratna Sinha and also sent her a text message but there was no response.

The shoot for the show will start in first week of December. The show is expected to launch in the first week of January 2010.
