Actress Rashmi Agdekar has always gained attention whatever she plays on screen. Rashmi recalled and shared her experience and preparations for her web series 'Rasbhari' alongside Swara Bhaskar. Rashmi Agdekar started her acting career in 2017, in the web series ‘Dev DD’ and played the lead role in the series ‘I’mMature’ which was critically acclaimed. She also made her debut in Bollywood with the film ‘Andhadhun’ alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.
Rashmi Agdekar originally being a Maharashtrian pulled off a role of a small town Meerut girl in the series ‘Rasbhari’ as she did not expect she would gain this huge amount of attention, she says, “Honestly, I wasn't expecting all this attention for my part. But I am so grateful that people took note of it and gave Priyanka all the love. Yes, the character which I played in Rashbhari is a Meerut girl, who silently fights to live the kind of life she wants.”
She further added about her learning a different accent saying, “I had struggled so much to get the Meerut accent right yet keep it slightly urban. But luckily we had a dialect coach during our prep and then my director Nikhil Bhat and co-actor Ayushmann Saxena really helped me through every scene. Also since we shot at real locations, I got a chance to absorb a lot of information from the real people of U.P.”
Rashmi Agdekar shared the screen with Swara Bhaskar and has great respect and love for her work says, “Also I've always loved Swara's work. We had only a couple of scenes together, but she was so welcoming and warm towards all of us. She would rehearse and read scenes whenever necessary. All in all, it was a great experience”. The actress certainly pulls off her every role really well and her fans would love to see her in more characters.
On the work front, Rashmi Agdekar will be soon announcing her exciting upcoming projects.
