Allahbadia, addressed the wave of criticism he faced but chose to see it as a period of personal growth. He said that the time away allowed him to reflect on his journey and reassess his responsibilities as a content creator.
"For the past 10 years, without taking a break, we have released 2-3 videos every week. This forced pause gave me time to embrace stillness. I realised how many Indians see me as family…To all of them, I want to sincerely apologise,” the podcaster added.
“Moving forward, I will carry my work with even greater accountability. Many children watch our show and I now fully understand the weight of this responsibility," he added.
Ranveer also said that despite the challenges, no one from his team left during this period. "I have a responsibility toward you, the 300 people who work with me and their families. To everyone who supported us, I have just one request: please make space for me in your hearts again. Please give me another chance.”
“The Ranveer Show will be back with four episodes a week, just like before. This full stop was just the beginning of a new story," he shared
“Now, I will let my work speak for itself. Thank you all. From now on, you will see a new Ranveer on The Ranveer Show. The podcast will return very soon,” he concluded.
The controversy kicked off when Ranveer Allahbadia, widely recognized as BeerBiceps, appeared on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent and asked a contestant some inappropriate questions about parental sex, body parts, and intimacy. The main question that drew significant criticism was: “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?"
Following the incident, a police complaint was lodged against Ranveer, Samay, and other co-judges present on the episode, including Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija. While Ranveer posted several apologies on social media after the incident, Samay deleted the India’s Got Latent episodes from YouTube.
