Rani Mukerji's Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is making all the noise in the business. Her movie has resonated well with viewers, and several Bollywood celebs have praised the star on their social media accounts in addition to her fans. Shah Rukh Khan, who co-starred with Rani, also lauded the actress for adapting this true story for the big screen.

Rani Mukerji revealed that she is pleased to see the response from the audience because they have been giving the film so much love. She added that a good film would resonate with the people, and they would come out to the theatres for an uplifting experience. Rani said that she is glad that Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is a content film that can be a theatrical film in a post-pandemic world.

She feels as makers just need to make films that touch people’s hearts and not focus on which genre will work on the big screen and which won’t. If a particular film is good, there will always be an audience who will come to the big screen to have a unique community viewing experience.

The Mardaani actress further said, “As a society, we want to celebrate and experience things together. So, I have never believed that people are turning their backs on theatres after the pandemic." According to Rani people just want to see new, fresh, and disruptive content that is engaging enough for them to step out and invest their time and money over it.

For the unversed, Rani Mukerji's Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is based on the real-life story of Sagarika Bhattacharya whose kids were taken away by the Norwegian government. It shows how she fought hard to keep their custody.
