Fans have eagerly been waiting for the past 4 years to witness the endearing Ranbir spread his magic on the big screens. Ranbir Kapoor's last film that released in theatres was Sanju. Now after 4 long years, Kapoor is all set to rule the cinema world with back-to-back releases. Currently, the Tamasha actor is gearing up for his upcoming period drama Shamshera. The trailer of the film has already caused a stir and showcases Ranbir in a promising never-seen-before role.
While promoting his film, Kapoor recently indulged in a media interaction and shed light on the film, his role, his experience and many other things.
India Forums took the dice and asked Ranbir, 'As you are aware, you have back to back releases, Shamshera and Brahmastra within a span of 3 months, so do you feel that the performance of one film would impact the audience's reception towards the other?'
Expressing his thoughts on the same, Ranbir said,
"It can happen, but like I said, I didn't plan this. But having said that, the two are very different films and I would like to believe and have always believed that the films are above me. So, yes, I am an actor and a part of both these films, both these worlds, but the stories and the films they are, I think they will speak more than just the fact that there is a common actor."
He further went on to say,
"It was not the ideal thing I guess to have 2 films release at the same time. I mean, so close to each other, I think, there is a gap of 6 weeks. But thankfully, now both the trailers are out, so the audiences also now know that okay Shamshera is this and Brahmastra is this. But I mean I am just keeping my fingers crossed that both work then touchwood, it will be great, and if they don't, it's fine."
For the unversed, Karan Malhotra helmed Shamshera will hit the theatres on 22nd July while Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra is slated to be released on 9th September.
