Bollywood couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been painting the town red for some time now. Ever since they made their relationship official, the star couple has been spotted going everywhere together. From visiting Ranbir’s parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in New York to celebrate various festivals to recently attending Akansha Ranjan's birthday bash.
The IT couple of Bollywood is all set to share a screen-space for the first time with Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The audience has been eagerly waiting to watch Ranbir and Alia on-screen as they always seem to spread magic with their social media chemistry and PDA’s.
However, if we are to go by the recent reports, the love-birds have decided to turn down films. The duo has been shying away from extensive on-screen collaboration which is far less grim and far more practical.
Alia-Ranbir have been spending a good amount of time at shoots itself which extends about a good 150 days which makes no sense for them to be doing more films together at this point of time.
Says a source close to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, “Of course they get offers to work together all the time. But they don’t want to become like Dharmendra-Hema Malini, Bipasha Basu – John Abraham or Saif Ali Khan – Kareena Kapoor Khan. These couples were so visible to the public in real life the audience rejected their efforts to be seen together on screen.”
Alia Bhatt explains how clear the couple is on this issue. “Work is work, and our personal life won’t be carried on the sets. While shooting for Brahmastra we discuss only the shots and scenes. We don’t need to sign films together to spend time together.”
Several reports stated that Ranbir and Alia have been getting multiple movies offers together from the producers, due to their fan following. But, they aren't interested in doing any more films as of now.
