Ramayana that has a huge ensemble cast headlined by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash has become of the most talked about movies. The shoot of the film will start soon and go on for 350 days. It is being said that Ramayana will be made in parts with the first one ending with the abduction of Sita. From the world of TV, actors like Arun Govil and Sakshi Tanwar have been roped in. Govil will bring in the touch of nostalgia as he plays the part of Dasharath. Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is Kaikeyi. Leaked pics of the two shooting in Film City went viral all over. 

The latest news is that makers have brought in one more actor from the world of TV in the film. It is Surabhi Das. Fans know her from shows like Nima Denzongpa and Pandya Store. This is reported by a popular handle on Twitter. It seems she will be one of the sisters of Sita. As we know, Maa Sita’s father Janak had a biological daughter Urmila who was born after the adoption of Sita. His brother Kushadhwaja had a couple of daughters Mandavi and Shrutkirti who were married to Bharat and Shatrughan respectively. Their lives also underwent turmoil after the exile of Lord Rama. Talking about Ramayana and the world of TV, it is rumoured that Ravi Dubey is going to be Lakshmana in the magnum opus.

Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari are the current main collaborators of the project. DNEG is going to do the VFX. AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer have been brought in to compose music and background score of Ramayana. Two days back, there were reports of it being titled God Power.
