Raju Srivastava's family members issues a statement to ignore fake news; says he is stable

The industry was shocked to learn that the legendary comedian had had a heart attack. On Wednesday, August 10, Srivastava experienced a heart attack in the gym and was taken directly to AIIMS. In response to reports that comedian Raju Srivastava's health is deteriorating, his family has released a formal statement.

Raju's condition was said to be critically ill and deteriorating. His family has issued a formal statement amid the rumors and false reports. According to the statement, his status is stable and the medical staff is doing everything they can to help. It also compels everyone to ignore the false information on his health.

“Dear all, Raju Srivastava's condition is stable. We are praying for his speedy recovery. The doctors are treating him and doing their best. Thanks to all the well-wishers for their continued love and support. Please ignore rumour/fake news being circulated. Please pray for him," the comedian’s family said in their statement.

According to several reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi contacted Srivastava's wife to enquire her of his health status and to wish him a quick recovery. Both Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are reported to have spoken to Raju's wife. According to reports, the former Laughter Challenge contestant was kept on a ventilator.

Earlier, Shekhar Suman had already updated the public on Raju's condition via social media. He added that the comedian was able to move his finger and that the nation's prayers were helping him.
