Rajkummar Rao & Shraddha Kapoor's 'Stree 2' confirms return with release month

Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree was released in 2018. The movie was directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee, it was a huge success at the box office, grossing over 180 crores worldwide. Since then, fans have been anticipating the sequel. And now the wait has finally come to an end. 

On April 12, 2023, at the Jio Studios' Infinite Together event, the cast of Stree announced that the sequel, Stree 2, is coming to theatres in August 2024. The announcement was made with a unique skit in which the cast members took the stage to share the exciting news with their fans.

Sharing the same news with his fans Rajummar took to his social media account and wrote, "ओ स्त्री, अगले साल आना। Oh Stree, 2 phir aa gayi! 🤩 Here to rip your hearts out, Maddock Films & Jio Studios reintroduce you to the witch you fell in love with. Milegi Milegi, sabko milegi #Stree2 in August 2024"

Stree 2 brings back the star cast of the original movie, including Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee. The fans are thrilled to see their favourite actors reprise their roles in the sequel.

For the unversed, the plot of Stree is based on the urban legend Nale Ba (Come tomorrow) of Karnataka. It is based on the Indian folk legend about a witch who abducts men at night when they are alone and only leaves their clothes behind.
