Rajinikanth, the iconic South Indian actor, continues to impress fans with his unwavering dedication to his craft, even at 72. After completing the shoot for his upcoming film "Jailer," he swiftly joined the sets of his daughter Aishwaryaa's project, "Lal Salaam," where he is set to play a cameo role. Currently filming his portions in Pondicherry, Rajinikanth's presence attracted thousands of eager fans.

The news of Rajinikanth's presence in Pondicherry spread like wildfire, prompting a sea of fans to converge on the shooting location to catch a glimpse of the superstar. 

The devoted crowd patiently waited outside the sets, yearning to see their idol. When Rajinikanth finally emerged to greet the public, the atmosphere turned electric as fans entered a frenzy of excitement.

A video capturing Rajinikanth's interaction with his adoring fans on the sets of "Lal Salaam" quickly went viral on social media platforms. The footage served as undeniable evidence of the actor's mesmerizing stardom. In a truly magical display, Rajinikanth climbed onto the rooftop of a car, reaching out to his fans, who surrounded the vehicle, cheering and capturing the unforgettable moment on their phones. To manage the overwhelming crowd, the authorities deployed a significant police presence to ensure everyone's safety. It was a testament to the unparalleled popularity and impact of the superstar Rajinikanth.

During May, Rajinikanth shuttled back and forth between locations, including Mumbai, for the filming of "Lal Salaam." Notably, he shared screen time with the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, who reportedly has a role in the film. Rajinikanth expressed his deep respect and admiration for Kapil Dev, posting a picture of them together on set and describing it as an "honour and privilege."

However, not all aspects of the film received an entirely positive response. When Rajinikanth's first look as Moideen Bhai from "Lal Salaam" was unveiled, it faced substantial criticism for its poor quality. Nevertheless, anticipation remains high for the film, marking Aishwaryaa's return to directing after a seven-year hiatus. Alongside Rajinikanth, Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth take on the lead roles in this production, bankrolled by Lyca Productions. While a release date for "Laal Salaam" is yet to be announced officially, it is slated to hit theatres in 2023.
