Rajan Shahi's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai celebration!

Producer Rajan Shahi's long-running TV show Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai took a time leap recently. And the new look and cast of the show are getting a lot of appreciation.

On Monday, a haven was done at the set followed by cake cutting, on completion of 1700 episodes. The lead couple Hina Khan and Karan Mehra were present along with Rohan Mehra, who plays their grown-up son Naksh.

Rajan said, "The show has crossed 1700 episodes and is running for the past six years now. It's a proud moment for me. This is one show, which neither has a negative character nor is over-the-top. The biggest achievement for the creative and the writing team is that they have kept the freshness of the show alive and the credit also goes to the cast and the crew. I would also thank Star Plus, the fans and the well-wishers for watching the show continuously. This is one show which entire family can watch together. The Cape Town track is also being appreciated and the feedback is very positive."

Ask him about the secret behind the show's success and he replies, "I think the secret is having a brilliant team working on it. The cast and the crew are committed to the show. The story talks about values, traditions, culture and the sweet moments and relationship between husband and wife and their journey post marriage. The show has lot of positive vibes in the look and feel which connects with audiences."
