'Raid 2': Riteish Deshmukh to step in as the antagonist opposite Ajay Devgn - REPORT

Adding an intriguing twist to the tale, recent reports reveal that Riteish Deshmukh has been roped in to portray the formidable antagonist in this action-packed sequel.

Ajay Devgn kicked off the shooting for 'Raid 2' on January 6, under the directorial helm of Rajkumar Gupta. Joining the star-studded cast is the stunning Vaani Kapoor as the female lead. The makers, keeping fans on the edge of their seats, announced the film's release date as November 15, 2024, promising another heroic take on the black money racket in India.

Riteish Deshmukh's entry as the negative force in 'Raid 2' brings a shift of genre for the actor, known for his prowess in comedy. The film marks a departure from the duo's previous collaboration in the comedic ensemble. In 'Raid 2,' a franchise that unfolds as a battle royale between the hero and the villain, Ajay Devgn portrays the role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, with Riteish Deshmukh as his formidable adversary. Reportedly, both actors are set to engage in heavy-duty dialogue sequences, offering audiences a gripping showdown of talent. 

'Raid 2,' inspired by real-life incidents and helmed by Rajkumar Gupta, recently commenced filming in Mumbai. Over the next few months, the production is set to traverse various locations, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, the film is slated for a grand release on November 15, 2024.
