Radhe makers lodge complaint against piracy of film; Officials are actively tracking people involved in act of piracy: Reports

The closure of theatres across India has caused massive concerns for theatre owners as Salman Khan decided to release his film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai on OTT. However, the concerns regarding piracy have always persisted and Salman even issued the serious consequences of piracy.

He urged his fans to not watch the film on pirated sites once again and told them that they could get into a lot of trouble.

Now, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd has filed an official complaint at the cyber cell after a pirated copy of Radhe was leaked shortly after its release. The makers have been ensured by the officials that they are actively tracking down the phone numbers involved in the act of piracy, reported India Today.

Ahead of the release of Radhe, the Sultan actor had shared a video urging everyone to say no to piracy. In the video, Salman mentioned how so much hard work goes into making a film and it is upsetting to see some people taking to piracy to enjoy a film.

On the other hand, Zee had also urged everyone seeking their support in bringing an end to piracy, not just for the film Radhe, but for any kind of content.

Their official statement read, "Films create livelihood, employment and a source of income for millions of people working for the industry. Piracy being the biggest threat to the entertainment industry, curbs down this source of livelihood. Films also contribute to the economy with the taxes paid to the government. People engaged in spreading the illegal version of the film, are not just embracing piracy, but are also negatively impacting the growth of the industry and the livelihoods of the people working for it round the clock. The appeal is being made to all the responsible citizens, asking them to say no to piracy and to consume entertainment or information content only through official platforms."

Shortly after the film's release, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai was leaked on Tamilrockers and Telegram.

Alongside Salman Khan, Radhe also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. The movie is presented by Salman Khan films in association with ZEE Studios, produced By Salma Khan, Sohail Khan and Reel Life Production Pvt. limited.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai saw Salman play a police officer who is on a mission to solve Mumbai’s drug problem, while Jackie plays his boss. The film is based on the Korean film The Outlaws.
