R Madhavan gets trolled for making baseless comments on Mars Mission during Rocketry promotions

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, R Madhavan's forthcoming pan-Indian film, is all set to hit the theatres the coming week. Maddy has been engaged in a promotional spree for the film and his comments about ISRO employing Panchang for the Mars Orbiter Mission have made headlines.

The actor stated in a speech at a recent Rocketry promotional event that the Panchang had assisted ISRO in launching a rocket into space and placing it in Mars' orbit.

The actor is currently the target of vicious internet trolls for making such statements while portraying a scientist in his upcoming film.

The Rocketry actor's assertions got fan saying that he has transitioned from a "Chocolate Boy" to a "Whatsapp Uncle". His comments have dismayed the online audience, especially R Madhavan's ardent supporters and he is currently being ridiculed for making unfounded assertions without doing enough research.

One of the fans tweeted, "Science is not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s ok not to know Science. But it’s better to keep your bloody mouth shut when you’ve no idea as to how things actually work; instead of quoting some WhatsApp stuff and making a mockery of yourself".

Madhavan will play the esteemed ISRO aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan in the film Rocketry: The Nambi Effec. He will make his directorial debut with the movie as well.

In supporting parts, the film also has Rajit Kapur, Simran, Misha Ghoshal, Ravi Raghavendra, Muralidaran, Shyam Renganathan, and Karthik Kumar. Shah Rukh Khan will also appear in the Hindi and English dubs of the drama, and Suriya will appear in the other languages of the movie. Rocketry The Nambi Effect will release on 1st July.
