Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, continues to make waves at the box office. Released on December 5, with paid premieres on December 4, the film has become a massive success. As of 9 pm on day 7, the film’s net collection in India stood at ?686 crore, according to Sacnilk.com. The sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise is doing exceptionally well, both commercially and critically.
On Wednesday, the film earned ?41 crore, taking its total to ?686 crore. It started strong with ?10.65 crore from the premieres and ?164.25 crore on its opening day. The film then collected ?93.8 crore on its first Friday, followed by ?119.25 crore and ?141.05 crore over the weekend. The first Monday saw a 54% dip, bringing in ?64.45 crore, and Tuesday’s collections fell further by 20%, making ?51 crore. Despite this dip, the film crossed the ?1000 crore gross mark worldwide within just six days of release.
Since its release, Pushpa 2: The Rule has garnered praise from celebrities and fans alike. On Wednesday, actor Venkatesh took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate the team. He wrote, “A thunderous and unforgettable performance @alluarjun!! Couldn’t take my eyes off you on the screen. So happy to see everyone celebrating the movie across the country! @iamRashmika you were phenomenal. Congratulations to #Sukumar @ThisIsDSP and the entire team of #Pushpa2TheRule on the super success. Assalu Thaggedhe Le!!”
Allu Arjun replied to Venkatesh’s post, saying, “Sirrrrr! Thank you siiirrrrr. It’s very special coming from you. So glad you liked all our work. Thank you sirrrrr.” Pushpa 2: The Rule sees Allu Arjun in the role of Pushpa Raj, a red sanders smuggler, while Rashmika plays his wife, Srivalli, and Fahadh plays his arch-nemesis, Bhanwar Singh Shekawat.
