'Pushpa 2: The Rule' Box Office Collection Day 15: Allu Arjun’s film fails to hit Rs 1,000 crore mark

'Pushpa 2: The Rule', featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, saw a notable decline in box office earnings on Day 15, missing the expected Rs 1,000 crore mark. The movie raked in around Rs 17.75 crore net on its 15th day, showing a 13% decrease from the day before.

As per early predictions by Sacnilk.com, the major share came from the Hindi release, bagging Rs 14 crore, while the Telugu version followed with Rs 2.75 crore. The Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions contributed Rs 80 lakh, Rs 13 lakh, and Rs 7 lakh, respectively.

Despite the drop, Pushpa 2 wrapped up its second week with a strong total of Rs 264.9 crore. The overall box office earnings include Rs 621.6 crore for the Hindi version, Rs 295.6 crore for Telugu, and Rs 52.4 crore for Tamil.

'Pushpa 2: The Rule' has crossed the Rs 1,500 crore milestone in global box office earnings, establishing itself as the "quickest Indian film to achieve this feat," announced the creators on Thursday. The movie, a follow-up to the 2021 hit Telugu film "Pushpa: The Rise," premiered in theaters worldwide on December 5.

Despite the film's record-breaking box office success, its release has been marred by controversy. A tragic incident unfolded during the premiere of 'Pushpa 2' as a female fan lost her life in a stampede at the screening. This unfortunate event garnered significant media coverage. Allu Arjun faced a brief arrest in relation to the incident but was later released the next morning.

Pushpa 2's ticket prices in the US dropped to $6 per ticket, attracting more viewers. Cheaper tickets are also expected in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, boosting the film's prospects. The movie's rights were sold at high prices, and with Allu Arjun's star power, it's set for success. Pushpa 2 is currently the top Indian movie in the UK, with Allu Arjun as Pushparaj and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as Srivalli.
