Pushpa 2 on Netflix: Allu Arjun's actioner impresses Marvel fans; videshi netizens reminded of Zack Synder

Pushpa 2 is out on Netflix. In the past two years, we have seen a growing interest of foreign audience in Indian movies. They are loving the energy and vibe of our films that are fantastical, colourful and have their own flavour. The fight scene where a maniacal Allu Arjun goes Rappa Rappa as the chops the men who abducted and molested his niece has grabbed eyeballs. Many fans felt it was done in a more imaginative manner than Marvel movies. Others said that Indian directors do have the dream but somehow their budgets are not as high as Hollywood.

Allu Arjun has been termed as John Wick by some for his death-defying stunt scenes. Fans said that while they went against the basic laws of physics, but were lit to watch on screen. Others said that Zack Synder seems to be an inspiration while some even told the filmmaker to quickly work on a Bollywood movie. Pushpa 2 was high on action from the intro scene at the port where Allu Arjun is suspended from a crane to the finale. The action movie had four stunt masters including Peter Hein, Nabakanta, Dragon Prakash and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Pushpa 2: The Rule made Rs 1800 crore plus at the global box office. The movie made Rs 1200 crores plus from its domestic market. Pushpa 2 was announced just after Pushpa: The Rise which came in 2021. It was the most successful Indian movie after the pandemic. Allu Arjun plays the role of a smuggler who controls the red sandalwood trade in the forests of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The second movie was all about how he outsmarts Inspector Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat played by Fahadh Faasil. Fans were upset saying that the role was reduced to a caricature. One of the highlights was the Jathara sequence filmed with a budget of Rs 60 crores.
