#Promo Review: Shilpa Saklani impresses in Colors' upcoming Vish Ya Amrit-Sitara!

Supernatural thriller is one genre that Indian television is totally obsessed with currently. With several shows like Nazar and Qayamat Ki Raat on Star Plus, Naagin 3 and Tantra on Colors, upcoming show Manmohini on Zee TV and Laal Ishq on AndTV are all superhit shows. Also Sony TV is bringing back the cult supernatural horror show Aahat back on television, and viewers are highly excited for it.

Well, if all these shows weren't already enough, Rashmi Sharma Telefilms is bringing yet another supernatural thriller Vish Ya Amrit-Sitara on Colors. The show will feature Shilpa Saklani Agnihotri, Lavina Tandon and Adaa Khan in lead roles, and the story revolves around mother-daughter relationship with the backdrop of Vish Kanya.

The first teaser of the show dropped recently, and looked quite intriguing. The makers have now revealed the first promo of the show, and here's a small analysis:

What is the promo about?

The promo shows Vishkanya (Shilpa Saklani) giving birth to a baby girl, and as soon as she takes her in her arms, she wonders whether she looks like her. Suddenly, Kuldeep (Sandeep Baswana) snatches away the baby from her. Vishkanya then furiously screams that the daughter of Vishkanya, will become a Vishkanya only, and Kuldeep with equal intensity replies that he won't let that happen. Vishkanya says that she will return to destroy everyone.

Then enters Sitara (Adaa Khan), who can be seen worshipping Goddess Durga, and the voice over goes, will she destroy everyone with her vish' or will she win vishwas'.

What we liked:

The promo creates a lot of intrigue and curiosity. Shilpa's strong performance is the highlight of the promo. We think she fits the bill perfectly. On the other hand, Sandeep Baswana too seems to have a strong character.

What we didn't like:

We wish Adaa Khan's character was introduced with a little more information. We understand, they want to create curiosity, but a little more about Sitara would have been even more exciting.

Verdict:

Well, though we think they could have revealed a little more information about Sitara, overall the promo looks intriguing. We can't judge the VFX of the show yet because they haven't shown any such scene in the promo, so we'll have to wait for it. Barring that, the promo is good, and we're excited to watch the show.
