#Promo Review: BEWARE! &TVs upcoming show Daayan's first look will give you nightmares

It seems like it's raining supernatural thrillers on Indian television these days. With already several such shows running on every channel, and a lot of new shows in the same genre lined up for release, it's not wrong to say that supernatural thriller is the it' genre on Indian television right now.

Balaji Telefilms' has lately invested into supernatural shows like Naagin 3 and Qayamat Ki Raat and needless to say both of these shows are superhit. Well, the production house is coming up with yet another supernatural thriller on And TV titled Daayan' featuring Mohit Malhotra, Tina Dutta and Anupriya Kapoor in lead roles and we're already thrilled to watch it.

The first look of the show just released, and here's a small analysis of it:

What is the promo about?

The promo introduces audience to a gory world of Daayan, showing visuals of creepy rats and lizards crawling on loonnngg trail of hair leading to a scary woman who has rotten skin, long, sharp and shabby nails and an eerie presence. The narration introduces her as the queen of night who has evil powers.

As soon as the Daayan is introduced there is a jump scare where she stares right into your soul haunting you, and then suddenly moves and opens a door inside which a family function is going on. As soon as the door opens, everyone turns around and a beautiful lady walks in with a lizard's tattoo on her back, and the narration goes, a Daayan is hiding disguised as a human.

What we liked about it?

There is nothing we don't like about it. The promo looks very scary with creepy creatures crawling all over the rotten woman's body. The narration and the spooky scenes are creating a lot of mystery and curiosity about the storyline of the show and we are totally loving it.

What we didn't like about it?

Though, the promo looks very promising and literally looks like a spook-fest, we think they should have revealed a little more about the story. We know they want to maintain the mystery, and we completely understand that, but all we got in the promo was the horror and no story. Anyway, we are absolutely in awe of the spooky scenes.

Verdict:

As soon as the show was announced, we were skeptical about it, as it sounded a lot like Star Plus' already existing show Nazar, but to our surprise this turned out to be very different than that and we're happy about it. The first promo has created enough curiosity in us, and now we can't wait for the second promo.

If horror is your thing, and you enjoy stories on Daayans and all the supernatural stuff, this one is definitely a must watch.
