Priyanka Treads on a Few Toes

Recently, actress Priyanka Chopra has unwittingly offended the beautiful people of Kashmir as well as the communication mogul Nokia.


Upon leaving Kashmir, Priyanka tweeted that she was happy to be 'back to civilization', raising eyebrows of a lot of her followers, including Kashmiris. Earlier, she had pleased more than many among the Kashmiri populace, as well as the officials concerned on her generous remarks about the resplendent nature in the remote zone.

Priyanka has been the first in many years to shoot in this extremely military insurgency prone area which has not seen Bollywood presence and activity for quite the while now, owing to all violence threats.

We can understand the way this diva's pen, oops keyboard must have worked in typing the allegedly controversial 'civilization' tweet for she was most nearly bound to her private domain in the valley during the days of shooting there, safety sake. Accustomed no doubt to a greatly socializing routine Piggy Chops is bound to have found fun amiss, despite the awe inspiring natural aura that surrounded her!


In her defense, she has since clarified that she did not have any negative sentiment behind her statement; she loves Kashmir and its beauty, and would love to return as soon as she can. Her tweet was simply her reflecting her happiness at being back in to her accustomed lifestyle.


Her tweets have also drawn a wary eye from Nokia, whom she endorses. Nokia has suspected her of tweeting on a Blackberry, but Priyanka has brushed these allegations aside. She has been a Nokia fan through and through, and does not even own a Blackberry. Instead, she tweets from her laptop.


With celebs connecting with their fans on such close levels as Twitter, we do hope they learn from Priyanka, and think before they tweet!
