Priyanka Chopra’s Grammys Navel-Baring Dress invites Heavy Trolling; Actress pens Cryptic note of Love-Hate

It is 2020, but women are still subjected to the burden of meaningless trolling and hate for their fashion choices and sense of style. The red carpet of Grammys 2020 saw Priyanka Chopra shine in a plunging white Ralph and Russo dress, that has created quite a stir online.

Priyanka was mercilessly slammed for her navel baring dress, as many called it out as “too much”. Designer Wendell Rodricks too had commented on Priyanka Chopra's dress, criticizing her, which created a storm online. Actress Suchitra Krishmnamoorthi had then taken to Instagram to hail the actress for not trying to hide her belly in photos.

Now, in an Instagram post, PeeCee has penned a cryptic note about love-hate that reads: “I seem to be thinking what a crazy beginning of the year it’s been, and we are only in January. Love the ones you love. Live the life you want to live...with all the troubles in this world at the moment, be kind to yourself and everyone around you. I’m so grateful for the kindness I have received, and even when I have not...I some how have. Be kind to the ones around you. It matters. Life is a gift.”

She also shared a picture of herself along with the note, that hints at the ongoing debate over her Grammy’s outfit. Soon, many positive comments started pouring in and one user wrote “Ur one of the kindest, most giving, most loving souls I’ve ever known.”

Priyanka had made a powerful statement at the Grammys’ red carpet, along with her husband Nick Jonas. She has always been bold about her fashion choices and is fearless in everything she does. 

Suchitra Krishnamoorthy had hailed the actress for her confidence and wrote: “Was so upset to see this post on insta by Wendel Rodrigues whose work I otherwise have a modicum of respect for. I think the fact that Priyanka is not trying to hide her belly with her clutch is what makes this pic so beautiful. Makes her the rockstar she is. Her confidence an inspiration to every woman. Women have been so enslaven by men’s opinion of how women should look this photograph of Priyanka to me at the world’s most publicized event is the height of liberation.
