Priyanka Chopra says “rest easy, fufaji” in emotional post for late uncle, tags Mannara Chopra

Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas has reacted to the passing of her uncle, Raman Rai Handa. The sombre news broke on Monday evening, June 16, when Handa breathed his last in Mumbai. As the Chopra family mourns this significant loss, Priyanka took to social media on Tuesday to express her love and respect for the man who was more than just family to her.

Sharing an emotional note on Instagram, Priyanka wrote, “You’ll always be in our hearts. Rest easy Raman uncle (fufaji). Om Shanti.” She also tagged her cousin and fellow actress Mannara Chopra, along with Mannara’s sister Mitali and their mother Kamini Chopra Handa, showing solidarity in their time of grief. Handa was married to Kamini Chopra, who is the sister of Priyanka’s late father, Ashok Chopra, making this loss a deeply personal one for the actress.

Known for his warmth and grounding presence, Raman Rai Handa was described by his family as their "pillar of strength." His passing has left a void that’s deeply felt, especially by his daughters and wife. Mannara, who shot to fame with her stint on Bigg Boss 17, was seen rushing back to Mumbai soon after the news of her father’s demise. The visibly distressed actress chose not to speak to the paparazzi and headed straight to be with her family.
