The year seems to be ending on a much-needed high especially in the entertainment industry on a global level. As Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to a mammoth blockbuster, India also has two mega releases coming in the next couple of weeks in the form of 83 and Jersey.
But apart from Spider-Man's roaring success, another mega film to look forward to for everyone has to be The Matrix Resurrections. The fourth instalment in the franchise, it stars Keanu Reeves and several other returning characters from the original trilogy but also has an exciting addition in the form of Priyanka Chopra.
In a recent interview with IndiaToday, Chopra talked about her experience of working with Reeves and the film itself. She recalled her conversation with Reeves on the first day of shoot and called him a great co-actor and a ‘really nice guy’. Admitting feeling intimidated to join the cast of the big project, she shared that she was nervous to speak all of the lines in the film one sunset, within 45 minutes precisely in front of the whole cast, including Keanu, Carrie-Anne and Jada.
While the actor went all prepared for her lines and did her part, it was Keanu who recognized Priyanka’s nervousness and comforted her saying that she did a great job. “just having someone like him who has had a prolific career for almost 40 years recognise and encourage me was wonderful” she added.
Chopra further talked about essaying the role of Sati in the film and said that the idea was to make her look like a warrior but also pay a homage to the Indian culture, which came to the hairstyle and the outfit as depicted in her first look pictures. For the unversed, Chopra as Sati is seen wearing a jacket with borders of saree, paired with pants similar to the Dhoti.
The film will be theatrically released on December 22, 2021.
