Priyanka Chopra and Megan Thee Stallion all set to be honoured with THIS At Gold House Gala

Priyanka Chopra will be honored at the prestigious fourth annual Gold House Gala, a celebration of Asian Pacific trailblazers in culture. The event, taking place on May 10th at the Music Center in Downtown Los Angeles, will see Chopra recognized alongside other notable figures like Megan Thee Stallion, director Ang Lee, and filmmaker Jon M. Chu.

The Gala spotlights the annual A100 List, highlighting the 100 most influential Asian Pacific individuals making their mark across various industries. This year's list will be revealed on May 1st, setting the stage for the gala, which will gather over 600 guests from diverse backgrounds.

Chopra will be presented with the inaugural Global Vanguard Honour for her remarkable 25-year career, bridging Eastern and Western entertainment industries. From her acclaimed performances in Bollywood to her international success in Hollywood, Chopra has consistently broken barriers and advocated for diverse voices on a global platform.

Chen, referencing this year's theme, "First Light," stated that they are recognizing, “those who have been the first not just for themselves, but for everyone who’s lit after."

Priyanka, meanwhile, juggles her time between the US and India while filming SS Rajamouli's upcoming movie, tentatively titled SSMB 29, starring Mahesh Babu. This marks Priyanka's return to Indian cinema after her 2019 film, "The Sky Is Pink." The film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran in a pivotal role.

The project kicked off with a private puja ceremony and a brief shooting schedule in Hyderabad, followed by a second schedule in Odisha. However, the shoot in Odisha faced challenges due to leaked footage from the sets. In response, the makers implemented a "three-layer security arrangement" to ensure tighter protection going forward.

SSMB 29, penned by Rajamouli's father, V. Vijayendra Prasad, is slated for a 2027 theatrical release.
